Cochrane, Ontario is home to this Polar Bear Conservation centre.

Opening in July of 2004, the center, which houses three bears you can swim with, attracted 11,000 within the first six months. You swim with the bears but are separated by a layer of shatterproof, bulletproof 9 cm thick glass. Adults and children alike are welcome to swim with these ferocious carnivores.
